The image above is a 3D render. We are still working on the enclosure and the final design will be smaller and cleaner, so the device you receive will likely look different from what you see here. The internals and the price will not change.

When it ships

We are targeting late September or early October 2026 (not guaranteed). This is a much larger run than our first, and things might slip. If the date moves, we will email you with a new one and you can cancel for a full refund.

US only temporarily

For those across the pond, we have not forgotten about you. There are far more processes and concerns with shipping internationally. However, we are planning to offer it and will send another update email as soon as it’s available. Thank you for your patience.

What you are charged

$49 at checkout, the same price as batch one. There is no deposit option.

Before you buy

tinyTouch has two modes: HID and PIV/PAM.

HID mode

HID mode types your password after a fingerprint match. It works anywhere your password is accepted, but the password is typed into the focused field.

PIV/PAM mode

PIV/PAM mode presents tinyTouch as a USB smart card. It supports login and sudo where macOS accepts smart cards.

macOS requires a PIV PIN. tinyTouch types the dummy PIN 000000 after a fingerprint match. This PIN is not your Mac password.

Security note

In both modes, the fingerprint sensor connects to the ESP over unauthenticated UART. The sensor can be spoofed.
